Melanotan Nasal Spray

Composition

Each 5 ml nasal spray bottle contains:

• Melanotan II – 10 mg
• Sterile water for injection (WFI) – q.s. to 5 ml

Each spray delivers approximately 0.1 ml = 0.2 mg Melanotan II ( ~50 sprays per bottle )

Pharmacological Effects

1. Melanogenesis (Skin Pigmentation)

• Binds to melanocortin 1 receptors (MC1R) in melanocytes.
• Stimulates eumelanin production even without UV exposure.
• Promotes darker, UV-resistant skin tone.

2. Libido Enhancement

• Activates melanocortin 4 receptors (MC4R) in the hypothalamus.
• Triggers potent aphrodisiac effect in both sexes.
• May induce erections and heightened sexual arousal.

3. Appetite Suppression

• Mild anorexigenic effect via hypothalamic pathways.
• May slightly reduce food intake in some individuals.

Indications

• Skin tanning (cosmetic; investigational use for photosensitivity disorders like erythropoietic protoporphyria).
• Erectile dysfunction (off-label; MC4R-mediated mechanism).
• Fat loss support (unproven but anecdotally reported).

Recommended Dose

Tanning Protocol

• Loading phase: 1 spray (0.2 mg) into each nostril, 1–2× daily for 7–14 days.
• Maintenance: 1 spray per nostril 2× per week.
• UV exposure: Small amounts of natural sunlight or UVB significantly enhance results.

Libido Protocol

• As needed: 1–2 sprays (0.2–0.4 mg total) 30–60 minutes before sexual activity.
• Effects may last between 6–48 hours.

Side Effects

Common (mild to moderate):

• Facial flushing (within 30 minutes).
• Nausea or queasiness (dose-dependent).
• Spontaneous erections.
• Headache or dizziness.
• Increased pigmentation of moles/freckles.

Serious (rare):

• Elevated blood pressure (MC4R-mediated).
• Hyperpigmentation or asymmetric dark spots.

Contraindication

• History of melanoma or atypical moles.

• Protect from light and heat.
• Use within 30 days after opening.
