CJC-1295 DAC

Composition

Each pack contains:

• One vial with CJC-1295 with Drug Affinity Complex (DAC) – 5 mg
• One ampoule with 2 ml sterile water for injection

Pharmacological Effects

• CJC-1295 is a synthetic analog of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH).
• Binds to GHRH receptors in the pituitary, stimulating pulsatile release of endogenous growth hormone (GH) and insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1).
• The “without DAC” version has a short half-life (~30 minutes), requiring more frequent dosing.

Indications

• Investigated for growth hormone deficiency (GHD) in adults and children (research use only; not FDA/EMA-approved).
• Potential off-label use for muscle growth, fat loss, and recovery.

Recommended Dose

• Typical research dose: 1–2 mg/day (divided into 1–2 subcutaneous/IM injections).
• Reconstitution: Use sterile water or bacteriostatic water (depending on research protocols).

Side Effects

• Common: Flushing, dizziness, injection site reactions, headache.
• Less common: Hyperglycemia, joint pain, numbness, carpal tunnel syndrome (from elevated GH/IGF-1).
• Rare: Hypersensitivity, increased intracranial pressure (pseudotumor cerebri).

Contraindication

• Hypersensitivity to GHRH analogs.
• Active malignancy (GH/IGF-1 can promote tumor growth).
• Pregnancy/lactation (no safety data available).
• Severe renal or hepatic impairment.

Storage Conditions

• Unreconstituted vials: Store at 2–8°C (refrigerated), protected from light.
• Reconstituted solution: Stable for 7–14 days at 2–8°C depending on sterility.
• Avoid freezing or prolonged room-temperature exposure.
